In Harnaul block of Nalanda district, 227 houses under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme (PM Awas Yojana) and Chief Minister's Housing Scheme (CM Awas Yojana) remain incomplete. Taking serious note of this, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Harnaul has issued a strict directive to the beneficiaries, ordering them to complete the construction work within one month. The BDO warned that if the work is not completed within the stipulated timeframe, strict legal action will be taken against the concerned beneficiaries.

The BDO highlighted that many beneficiaries have already received the first and second installments of the housing funds, yet their house construction remains unfinished. This scheme aims to provide permanent homes to poor and homeless families, but its implementation is being delayed due to beneficiaries' negligence or other reasons. The government's intention is to ensure all eligible individuals receive their homes as soon as possible, and the administration is fully committed to achieving this goal.

A review meeting was also held to discuss the progress of these housing schemes. The BDO instructed all concerned officials and staff to contact beneficiaries of incomplete houses and encourage them to expedite construction. They were also asked to ensure that any technical or administrative assistance required by beneficiaries is provided promptly. This initiative is crucial for families who have been awaiting their permanent homes for a long time. The administration's firm stance is expected to accelerate the completion of these pending houses, ensuring eligible families receive their rightful homes.
