पूर्वी चंपारण जिले के हरसिद्धि थाना क्षेत्र में शुक्रवार को एक विशेष छापेमारी अभियान चलाकर कुल सात आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। इन गिरफ्तारियों में दहेज हत्या, अवैध शराब कारोबार, हत्या के प्रयास और ट्रायल वारंटी से जुड़े विभिन्न मामले शामिल हैं। हरसिद्धि पुलिस के अनुसार, गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों में दहेज हत्या के एक मामले में एक व्यक्ति, शराब कारोबार से जुड़े दो व्यक्ति, हत्या के प्रयास के तीन आरोपी और एक ट्रायल वारंटी शामिल है। सभी गिरफ्तार अभियुक्तों को न्यायालय में पेश किया गया।
गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों की पहचान भी पुलिस द्वारा सार्वजनिक की गई है। दहेज हत्या के मामले (कांड संख्या 417/26) में मठलोहियार निवासी अजय पटेल (पिता लालदेव रावत) को पकड़ा गया है। शराब कारोबार के मामले (कांड संख्या 408/26) में हरपुर राय निवासी उमेश साह (पिता जनक साह) और जैल मुरारपुर निवासी गगन देव महतो (पिता महावीर महतो) को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। हत्या के प्रयास के मामले (कांड संख्या 418/26) में मटियारिया निवासी मोहर राम (पिता बलदेव राम), गोलू कुमार (पिता मोहर राम) और जितेंद्र कुमार (पिता मोहर राम) को पकड़ा गया है। इसके अतिरिक्त, उत्पाद कांड (टीआर संख्या 375/24) के वारंटी खोरीपाकड़ निवासी प्रमोद चौधरी (पिता मोतीलाल चौधरी) को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है। ये सभी आरोपी हरसिद्धि थाना क्षेत्र के निवासी हैं।
हरसिद्धि थानाध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार ने बताया कि इन आरोपियों की तलाश में पुलिस की कई टीमें लगातार दबिश दे रही थीं। पुलिस की सक्रियता के चलते अंततः इन सभी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि मामले में आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है और अन्य फरार आरोपियों की तलाश जारी है। पुलिस प्रशासन ने यह स्पष्ट किया है कि किसी भी आरोपी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा और सभी को जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार कर न्याय के कटघरे में खड़ा किया जाएगा। इस छापेमारी अभियान में थानाध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार सहित कई पुलिसकर्मी तैनात थे। स्थानीय लोगों ने पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई पर संतोष व्यक्त किया है।
Seven individuals were arrested during a special raid conducted on Friday in the Harsiddhi police station area of East Champaran district. The arrests are linked to various cases, including dowry murder, illegal liquor trade, attempted murder, and a trial warrant.
According to Harsiddhi police, those apprehended include one person in a dowry murder case, two involved in liquor smuggling, three accused of attempted murder, and one trial warrantee. All arrested individuals have been presented before the court. The police have identified the accused: Ajay Patel (son of Laldev Rawat, Mathlohiar) was arrested in connection with dowry murder (Case No. 417/26). Umesh Sah (son of Janak Sah, Harpur Rai) and Gagan Dev Mahto (son of Mahavir Mahto, Jail Murarpur) were apprehended for liquor trade (Case No. 408/26). In an attempted murder case (Case No. 418/26), Mohar Ram (son of Baldev Ram), Golu Kumar (son of Mohar Ram), and Jitendra Kumar (son of Mohar Ram), all residents of Matiyaria, were arrested. Additionally, Pramod Chaudhary (son of Motilal Chaudhary, Khoripakad), a warrantee in an excise case (TR No. 375/24), was also taken into custody. All arrested individuals reside within the Harsiddhi police station jurisdiction.
Harsiddhi Station House Officer Sunil Kumar stated that multiple police teams were actively pursuing these suspects, leading to their eventual arrest. He added that further legal action is underway, and the search for other absconding accused continues. The police administration has affirmed that no accused will be spared and all will be brought to justice promptly. SHO Sunil Kumar and several police personnel participated in the raid. Local residents have expressed satisfaction with the police action.
