Gopalganj. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has taken significant action against Raj Narayan Raja, the former Circle Officer (CO) of Hathua, for negligence in mutation cases. The department has penalized him by withholding two increments without cumulative effect. This action stems from his failure to process four mutation cases for over a year during his tenure.

According to departmental records, Raj Narayan Raja repeatedly ignored reminders regarding these pending cases and failed to submit any explanation. The department deemed this a clear violation of administrative directives and gross negligence in duty.

Complaints of irregularities and negligence in revenue matters within the Hathua circle surfaced during the tenure of former District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Sinha. Following these complaints, the then DM had initiated departmental proceedings against the concerned officer by sending 'Form K', which led to the current disciplinary action. This case, which had been pending for over a year, has now seen strict action from the department.
