During a routine vehicle inspection in the Imamganj police station area of Gaya district, a significant quantity of beer and foreign liquor was recovered from a car. Three liquor smugglers have been arrested in connection with this seizure. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted the vehicle, which was reportedly bringing illegal liquor from Jharkhand.

According to police sources, a suspicious car was signaled to stop during a regular vehicle checking drive in the Imamganj police station area. Upon searching the car, police found bottles of various brands of foreign liquor and beer cans. The total quantity of the seized liquor and its market value are currently being assessed.

The three arrested smugglers have been identified, and interrogation is underway. Preliminary investigations suggest that these smugglers were attempting to bring liquor from Jharkhand to sell in various parts of Bihar. Since the implementation of prohibition in Bihar, cases of liquor smuggling have been consistently reported in areas bordering Jharkhand. Police are actively trying to uncover the network of these smugglers to completely curb this illegal trade.

Imamganj Station House Officer stated that the police are continuously active in enforcing prohibition and are taking strict action against criminals. He added that special vigilance is being maintained in border areas, and suspicious vehicles are being thoroughly checked. This successful operation has thwarted the plans of liquor smugglers.
