An alleged incident of assault and attempted murder against police staff has come to light in the Imamganj police station area of Gaya district. The incident reportedly occurred around 8 PM on Friday night near Padariya-Pakri Guriya village, causing a stir within the police department.

According to information, Dhananjay Kumar, a staff member at Imamganj police station and son of Kapil Devdas from Pipra village, was traveling on a motorcycle with his colleagues Pankaj, Rakesh, and Mukesh to the Banke Dham fair in Banke Bazar. Dhananjay Kumar and Pankaj rode ahead and were waiting for their other companions near Padariya Mandir. It is alleged that during this time, some unknown individuals approached them and began assaulting Dhananjay Kumar. As the situation escalated, he managed to escape to a safe location.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Imamganj police reached the spot and gathered details. It is reported that the victim has not yet filed a formal application at the Imamganj police station. The police are currently investigating the entire matter. The motive behind the assault, the number of people involved, and their identities will become clear only after the investigation. Imamganj Station House Officer Amit Kumar stated that while an application has not yet been received, the matter has been taken cognizance of. Further action will be taken based on the application and the ongoing investigation. The incident has also sparked various discussions at the local level.
