Infant Dies After Being Run Over by E-Rickshaw in Morwa; Driver Arrested
समस्तीपुर जिले के मोरवा प्रखंड के हलई थाना क्षेत्र में एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ है। सारंगपुर पश्चिमी पंचायत के विक्रमपुर गांव में एक टोटो चालक ने लगभग चार माह के बच्चे अंशु कुमार को कुचल दिया, जिससे उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। बच्चा अपने घर के दरवाजे पर परिजनों के साथ खेल रहा था, तभी वह टोटो की चपेट में आ गया।
मृत बच्चे की पहचान स्थानीय वार्ड संख्या 9 निवासी सचिन कुमार के बेटे अंशु कुमार के रूप में हुई है। घटना के बाद बच्चे के परिजनों ने हलई थाना में नामजद शिकायत दर्ज कराई। शिकायत के आधार पर हलई पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए टोटो को जब्त कर लिया और ड्राइवर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
हलई थाना अध्यक्ष शैलेश कुमार ने बताया कि गिरफ्तार ड्राइवर गोलक सदा, जो विक्रमपुर गांव का निवासी है और युगल सदा का बेटा है, घटना के समय नशे की हालत में था। इसी कारण यह दुखद हादसा हुआ। पुलिस ने ड्राइवर पर बीएनएस धारा 125(2)/106/281 और बिहार मध्य निषेध एवं उत्पाद अधिनियम की धारा 37 (c) के तहत कानूनी कार्रवाई की है। ड्राइवर को जेल भेज दिया गया है।
A tragic incident has occurred in the Halai police station area of Morwa block in Samastipur district, Bihar. A four-month-old infant, Anshu Kumar, was fatally run over by an e-rickshaw (Toto) in Vikrampur village, Sarangpur Paschimi Panchayat. The child was reportedly playing near his home's doorstep when the accident took place, leading to his immediate death.
Anshu Kumar was identified as the son of Sachin Kumar, a resident of Ward No. 9. Following the incident, the child's family filed a named complaint at the Halai police station. Acting on the complaint, Halai police promptly seized the e-rickshaw and arrested the driver.
Halai Police Station SHO Shailesh Kumar stated that the arrested driver, Golak Sada, son of Yugal Sada and a resident of Vikrampur village, was intoxicated at the time of the accident. This intoxication is believed to be the cause of the tragic incident. Police have initiated legal proceedings against the driver under BNS sections 125(2)/106/281 and section 37(c) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. The driver has been sent to jail.
