Lawyers in Jagdishpur boycotted court proceedings and staged a protest on Monday, condemning the delay in replacing a faulty generator at the Jagdishpur Civil Court complex. The protest, led by Advocate Association President Anil Kumar Chaubey, highlighted that the court's generator has been out of order for approximately two and a half months. Despite numerous written applications submitted to the District Judge and Patna High Court, neither has the generator been repaired nor a new one installed.

Vinod Verma, spokesperson for the Bar Association, along with other lawyers, stated that daily power outages disrupt court work for two to two and a half hours, causing significant inconvenience to judicial officers, advocates, and litigants traveling from remote areas. The lawyers demanded the immediate installation of a new generator, warning that if the Patna High Court fails to resolve the issue promptly, the Jagadishpur Advocate Association will initiate an indefinite boycott of court proceedings at the Jagdishpur Civil Court. During the demonstration, advocates also called for addressing other basic infrastructural deficiencies within the civil court. Prominent participants in the protest included Pankaj Dwivedi, Uttam Prasad, Chandrabhushan Sahay, Jaikant Dubey, Harshvardhan Singh, and Mukul Vikas Srivastava.
