The Jamalpur Circle Office in Munger district is facing a severe crisis due to the large-scale transfer of revenue staff, leading to the paralysis of its operations. For several months, thousands of revenue-related cases have been pending due to a significant shortage of personnel. This situation is causing immense hardship to the general public and adversely affecting government revenue.

According to reports, Jamalpur Circle has 11 sanctioned posts for revenue staff, but currently, only one revenue employee is working. All other positions remain vacant. The burden of the entire circle's work has fallen on this single employee, resulting in a massive backlog. Essential tasks such as mutation, land revenue receipt issuance, land record correction (parimarjan), land dispute resolution, and online jamabandi corrections have come to a standstill. Citizens are forced to make repeated visits to the circle office for even minor tasks, but the lack of staff means their work remains undone.

Affected individuals state that the problem arose because new staff were not appointed after the transfers. Farmers and landowners are particularly distressed as land-related work is crucial for them. People visiting the circle office daily return disappointed.

In light of this critical situation, local public representatives and citizens have urged the district administration to intervene immediately and appoint an adequate number of revenue staff in Jamalpur Circle. This is essential to clear the pending cases and ensure the smooth functioning of the circle office.
