Thousands of devotees are gathering daily at the seven-day Shri Ram Katha being held in the Chhoti Teldih Durga Temple complex in Bihma, Tarapur block, Munger district. Swami Bhagwat Sharan Ji Maharaj, a saint and storyteller from Vrindavan, is eloquently narrating various episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram.

On the sixth day of the discourse, Saturday night, devotees were deeply moved by the narration of the Sita Swayamvar (self-choice marriage) episode. The storyteller recounted that King Janak of Mithila had organized a Swayamvar for his daughter Sita, with the condition that whoever could lift Shiva's divine bow and string it would marry Sita. After many kings and emperors failed, Lord Shri Ram, under the command of Guru Vishwamitra, effortlessly lifted the bow, which broke as he strung it. Following this, Mata Sita garlanded Shri Ram, accepting him as her husband.

Swami Bhagwat Sharan Ji Maharaj emphasized that Lord Shri Ram's life embodies मर्यादा (dignity), sacrifice, love, and ideals. The episodes from the Ramayana inspire people to follow the path of righteousness, respect elders, and faithfully perform their duties. Mata Sita's devotion and Lord Shri Ram's adherence to dharma are inspiring for everyone. During the discourse, the entire temple complex resonated with cheers, devotional songs, and a spiritual atmosphere. A large number of women, men, and elderly devotees are participating in this event, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm throughout the region.
