The issue of wood theft at the historic Jamalpur Railway Factory in Munger district has intensified. Upendra Singh, the District President of the Samajwadi Party (SP), has demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged complicity of high-ranking railway officials in the matter. He stated that such a large-scale theft of wood would not be possible without the connivance of officials, raising serious questions about the railway administration's operational integrity.

Upendra Singh emphasized in his statement that continuous incidents of theft from the Jamalpur Railway Factory, known for its historical significance and production capacity, are alarming. He alleged that this wood theft incident is not an isolated event, as previous cases of theft of important materials from the factory have also come to light. These incidents are causing not only financial losses to the railway but also casting doubts on the factory's security system.

The SP District President demanded that the railway administration take this matter seriously and form a high-level inquiry committee. He stated that the investigation should identify which officials and employees are involved in this theft. Strict action should be taken against the culprits to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. He also suggested strengthening the factory's security system, including increasing the number of CCTV cameras and intensifying patrols.

Singh further added that the railway factory is linked to the livelihood of millions of people, and ensuring the security of its assets is the moral responsibility of the railway administration. He warned that if appropriate action is not taken in this matter, the Samajwadi Party will launch a movement and make every possible effort to expose the officials and criminals involved in the theft.
