In Dharampur village, Khaira block, Jamui district, a magnificent Durga Puja pandal has been constructed, replicating the famous Shivkhori Cave Temple of Jammu. This impressive pandal, approximately 160 feet long, was built at a cost of around 30 lakh rupees. Artisans from Varanasi were specially commissioned for its creation, aiming to provide a Shivkhori cave experience to rural devotees who cannot visit the original temple due to distance and expenses.

The entrance of the pandal is designed in the shape of an open tiger's mouth, which is highly captivating. Upon entering, devotees experience the sensation of being inside a real cave. Inside, along with the idol of Maa Durga, there is an attractive idol of Lord Shiva and special decorations of his matted hair. The unique structure and decorations of the cave are drawing large crowds of devotees during Durga Puja.

Anjani Kumar Sinha, president of the Durga Puja Committee, stated that the committee's objective was to bring the experience of the Shivkhori Cave Temple to rural devotees. According to religious beliefs, Lord Shiva took refuge in the Shivkhori cave to escape from Bhasmasura, and this religious narrative inspired the cave-themed pandal. Committee members mentioned that such a grand and unique pandal has been created for the first time in a rural area like Dharampur, becoming a talking point in nearby villages. This pandal has become a center of religious faith and a cultural attraction in the rural region.
