A car belonging to a Fisheries Officer from Jamui district plunged into a canal near Nabinagar while returning from Lakhisarai. The late-night accident left the officer severely injured. Local residents and police promptly rescued him from the canal and rushed him to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the Fisheries Officer was en route to Jamui from Lakhisarai after attending to official duties or a contribution event. As the car approached Nabinagar, the driver reportedly lost control, possibly due to the darkness and poor road conditions, causing the vehicle to veer off and fall into the canal. The sound of the car crashing into the canal alerted nearby villagers, who immediately rushed to the scene and initiated rescue efforts. Their swift action helped extricate the officer from the damaged car.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police also arrived and joined the rescue operation. The officer sustained serious injuries but is reported to be out of danger. After receiving first aid, he was referred to a larger hospital for advanced medical care. Police have inspected the accident site and initiated an investigation.
