Jataha Bazar police have arrested two individuals in connection with the illegal sale and transportation of liquor, as part of an ongoing campaign against illicit alcohol. Police confiscated 218 pouches of English liquor that were being transported on a Splendor motorcycle. The operation took place in the Jataha Bazar area, where officers intercepted two suspects riding a motorcycle. During the search, 218 pouches of 8PM brand English liquor were found in their possession.

The accused have been identified as Sonu Kumar, son of Suraj Jaiswal, and Lucky Kumar, son of Bidur Prasad. Both are residents of Malkoli village, under Patkhauli police station in West Champaran, Bihar. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and initiated further legal proceedings. Station House Officer Abhinav Mishra, along with Sub-Inspector Abhilash Jha, Head Constable Praveen Kumar, Constable Vinod Kumar, and other police personnel, were part of the operation.
