A 20-year-old youth was shot by unknown assailants in Jaynagar, leaving him critically injured. The incident occurred on Sunday night near a bridge on Kamala Road, within the Jaynagar police station area. The injured youth has been identified as Prince Kumar, son of Ramji Sah, a resident of Ward No. 12 of Jaynagar Bazaar.

According to reports, Prince Kumar was standing near the bridge on Kamala Road on Sunday night when unknown miscreants shot him. The bullet lodged in Prince's shoulder. After being shot, Prince collapsed, and local residents immediately rushed him to Jaynagar Sub-Divisional Hospital. Given his critical condition, doctors provided first aid and then referred him to Madhubani for better treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Jaynagar police reached the spot. The police inspected the crime scene and have initiated an investigation. The motive behind the shooting and the identity of the assailants are yet to be ascertained. Police are questioning local residents and conducting raids to apprehend the culprits. The incident has caused a stir in the Jaynagar area, with residents raising concerns about security. Police have stated that the culprits will be arrested soon.
