Unknown thieves broke into a house in Madhurapur village, Kalyanpur police station area, on Tuesday night, stealing gold and silver jewellery and valuable utensils worth approximately five lakh rupees. The homeowner discovered the theft on Wednesday morning when he found items scattered in a room. Upon receiving the information, the Kalyanpur Police's 112 team arrived at the scene to investigate.

According to reports, the incident occurred at the residence of Baidyanath Prasad Singh, a resident of Ward No. 10, Madhurapur Tara Panchayat. The thieves entered one of the rooms, forced open a Godrej safe, and made off with the jewellery and expensive utensils stored inside. At the time of the incident, Baidyanath Prasad Singh was sleeping in another room. The room that was targeted belonged to his daughters, who are employed and live in rented accommodation in Samastipur. They were not present at home on the night of the theft.

As per the homeowner, the estimated value of the stolen jewellery and utensils is around five lakh rupees. A crowd of villagers gathered at the spot upon hearing about the incident. Baidyanath Prasad Singh filed a written complaint at the Kalyanpur police station on Wednesday afternoon, demanding action. Kalyanpur Station House Officer Ranveer Kumar Rawat stated that police officials have visited the site for investigation, and further action is being taken.
