An employment-cum-career guidance fair was organized on Wednesday at the Chainpur Block-cum-Circle Office premises in Bhabhua, Kaimur district. The event was held under the aegis of the Bihar government's Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development. Nineteen recruiting companies participated in the fair, which was organized by the District Employment Office, Kaimur, under the directives of District Magistrate Kumar Anurag.

Approximately 950 candidates attended the fair. Companies collected resumes from 465 applicants, and after initial interviews, 283 youths were shortlisted for various job roles. The participating companies represented sectors such as security, agriculture, manufacturing, insurance, fertilizer, microfinance, and electronics.

Beyond job opportunities, the fair also provided information on self-employment and skill development. Stalls set up by various departments, including the Industries Department, ATMA, and DRCC, offered details about self-employment options, skill development programs, and government schemes to around 800 candidates.

Many young people from different blocks of the district attended the fair in search of employment. The District Employment Officer stated that applicants were also registered on the 'Rojgar Setu Portal' and affirmed that such employment fairs would continue to be organized periodically across the district to maximize employment opportunities for youth.
