A land dispute in Karagahar, Rohtas district, escalated into violence, leaving a young woman seriously injured after being hit by a bullet pellet. The incident occurred in Rampur village, under the Karagahar police station jurisdiction. The woman was reportedly planting paddy in a field when she sustained a head injury from the firing.

According to police, the incident stemmed from a long-standing land dispute between two parties. The confrontation erupted during paddy planting on the disputed land, leading to one side opening fire. An innocent young woman working in the field became an unintended victim, collapsing on the spot after being hit in the head by a pellet. She has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the information, Karagahar police promptly arrived at the scene. They recovered a licensed rifle and an empty shell. The alleged assailants are currently at large, and the police are conducting raids to apprehend them. Local residents stated that disputes over this land have been ongoing for years, with previous clashes, and they attribute the current incident to a lack of decisive administrative action.
