A meeting of the 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee was held on Wednesday at the Karakat block headquarters in Rohtas district. Chaired by committee president Suresh Kumar Gupta, the meeting reviewed various departmental issues and development schemes. Gupta informed that the committee has held seven meetings so far, during which problems were recorded and reported. However, he expressed concern that no concrete action has been taken on many crucial matters.

Gupta emphasized the need to form a special inquiry committee to thoroughly investigate pending issues and schemes. Committee member Virendra Kushwaha also proposed forming such a committee to inspect completed schemes within the block for quality and transparency. Vice-president Ashutosh Kumar Singh stated that various departmental issues were discussed during the meeting.

During the deliberations, the issue of addressing deficiencies and irregularities in the education system was prominently raised before Block Education Officer Arvind Kumar. Junior Engineer Sanjeet Kumar of the Electricity Department was urged to prioritize fixing problems related to electricity poles and other power supply issues. Furthermore, alleged irregularities in the housing scheme within the Nagar Panchayat, the non-provision of benefits to eligible beneficiaries, and the failure to provide complete information to the committee were also brought to light.

Key attendees at this important meeting included BDO Sanjeet Kumar, BPRO Renuka Kumari, BEO Arvind Kumar, CO Dr. Ritesh Kumar, MGNREGA JE Omkar Prasad, JSS Anuj Kumar, Junior Engineer Sanjeet Kumar from the Electricity Department, Rita Kumari from the Child Development Project Office, along with committee members Ramnarayan Chandravanshi, Dinesh Kumar Chandravanshi, Jaishankar Singh Patel, Virendra Kushwaha, Shanti Devi, and Rajendra Pal.
