During the raid, police apprehended both accused red-handed and recovered 385 grams of smack. Additionally, two mobile phones, likely used for drug trade, were also seized from them. The identities of the arrested individuals have not been immediately released, but police are conducting intensive interrogations to uncover other members of this network and its source.

The Superintendent of Police stated that the campaign against narcotics will continue relentlessly, and no one involved will be spared. He also appealed to the public to provide information to the police about such activities to help make society drug-free. A case has been registered against both arrested accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They have been sent to judicial custody, and further legal proceedings are underway. This arrest is expected to help curb the illegal drug trade in Katihar.
