Kesariya, Reporter. On the last Monday of the Sawan month, approximately 75,000 Shiva devotees offered water and performed prayers at the famous Kesarnath Mahadev Temple in North Bihar. The entire Kesariya region resonated with chants of 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Bol Bam' throughout the day, creating a devotional atmosphere. The temple gates opened at 2 AM, initiating the ritual of Jalabhishek, which continued uninterrupted until late evening. Due to the massive crowd, a long queue stretched for about 500 meters from the temple premises. Despite the crowd and the sun, the devotees' enthusiasm remained high as they patiently awaited their turn with full devotion.

The temple administration had made extensive arrangements for the convenience of the devotees. This year too, devotees offered water to Lord Shiva through the Argha system. Security arrangements were robust, with Chakia DSP Santosh Kumar personally overseeing the operations. A large number of police personnel were deployed at the temple premises and surrounding sensitive areas, ensuring that the Jalabhishek concluded peacefully and in an organized manner throughout the day.
