A 20-year-old married woman, Ruchi Kumari, from Murli village in Pachaut Panchayat, Beldaur block, Khagaria district, attempted suicide by consuming poison due to prolonged domestic disputes. Ruchi Kumari, wife of Rudal Kumar, was immediately rushed to the hospital by her family members, where her condition is now reported to be out of danger.

According to villagers, Ruchi Kumari was frequently harassed by her mother-in-law and husband, leading to severe mental distress. Driven to desperation by this alleged torture and mental pressure, she took the drastic step. When media personnel attempted to question her mother-in-law after the incident, she reportedly tried to conceal her identity.

Ruchi Kumari herself has accused her husband and mother-in-law of severe mental harassment, detailing the atrocities she endured. Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav, the treating physician, stated that the victim's treatment began promptly, and her condition is now stable. She is expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.

Beldaur Station House Officer (SHO) Ajit Kumar informed that no official complaint regarding the incident has been received yet. He assured that upon receiving information from the health department or a written application from the victim's side, the matter would be investigated, and appropriate legal action would be taken.
