Khaira Panchayat celebrated Panchayat Vikas Diwas with great enthusiasm and fanfare on Wednesday. The event saw the presence of ward members from all wards, the Mukhiya (head), Panchayat Secretary, and a large number of villagers. The primary objective of the program was to review the development works undertaken in the panchayat and discuss future plans.

The program commenced with the lighting of lamps and the national anthem. In his address, the Mukhiya presented a detailed account of various development works carried out in the panchayat over the past year. He highlighted significant progress made in education, health, sanitation, and the construction of rural roads. The Mukhiya urged villagers to actively participate in the panchayat's development and openly share their problems and suggestions.

The Panchayat Secretary provided information about various welfare schemes run by the government and encouraged villagers to avail their benefits. He specifically shed light on schemes like old-age pension, widow pension, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and MGNREGA. Ward members also shared their views on ongoing projects and upcoming challenges in their respective wards.

Villagers present at the event also expressed their thoughts and drew attention to some important issues, including water supply problems, electricity availability for irrigation, and the lack of public toilets. Panchayat representatives assured them that these issues would be seriously considered and resolved.

At the end of the program, all attendees pledged to make the panchayat more developed and prosperous. This celebration of Panchayat Vikas Diwas not only served as a platform for reviewing development works but also proved to be an important opportunity to foster dialogue between villagers and their representatives.
