A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in Tengarmari village, Kishanganj district, where a 15-year-old boy, Rahul Ansari, drowned while bathing in the Ramzan River. Rahul was the son of Khatebul Ansari, a resident of Ward No. 03 of Tengarmari village.

According to information received, Rahul Ansari had gone to bathe in the Ramzan River, which flows between Tengarmari and Kashipur. While bathing, he went into deep water and started drowning. People nearby immediately informed his family and local residents. The Circle Officer, Rahul Kumar, was also informed, and the administration subsequently notified the SDRF team.

However, before the SDRF team arrived, local divers had already begun searching for Rahul in the river. After considerable effort, local divers succeeded in pulling Rahul Ansari out of the water. Family members stated that Rahul was still breathing when he was brought out of the river. His family then immediately took him to the Sadar Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after examination.

The news of the teenager's death plunged the family into grief. Upon receiving information about the incident, Sadar Thana police also arrived at the Sadar Hospital. After completing the necessary paperwork, the police conducted a post-mortem examination of the body and handed it over to the family. The police are taking further action in the matter. The entire village is in mourning after this incident. Villagers have appealed for caution while bathing in the river and to stay away from deep water areas.
