Residents of Koparia in Saharsa district have expressed deep dissatisfaction over the lack of basic amenities at Koparia Railway Station. To address these issues, villagers have submitted a demand letter to the station master, highlighting the critical need for improvements. They argue that despite being a vital transport hub for the region, the station lacks essential facilities for passengers.

The demand letter primarily focuses on several key issues. A major request is for the stoppage of certain important trains at Koparia, which would greatly benefit long-distance commuters. Currently, many trains pass through without stopping, forcing villagers to travel to other stations, leading to wasted time and money.

Furthermore, the deplorable condition of the road leading to the station has been highlighted. Villagers report that the road is so bad that it becomes almost impassable during the rainy season, making vehicular movement extremely difficult. This causes significant inconvenience for passengers trying to reach the station, especially the elderly and disabled.

Another significant problem is the poor state of the platform, which lacks adequate shelters and benches, forcing passengers to wait in the open, exposed to sun and rain. The platform's height and cleanliness are also unsatisfactory. Basic amenities like toilets and drinking water are also absent, which are crucial for passenger comfort and hygiene.

Villagers have warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they will be compelled to stage protests. They have urged railway authorities and local representatives to intervene immediately and improve the condition of Koparia Railway Station, ensuring better facilities for thousands of passengers in the region.
