गोपालगंज जिले के कुचायकोट सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (सीएचसी) में एक्स-रे की सुविधा सप्ताह में केवल तीन दिन उपलब्ध होने से मरीजों को भारी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। सोमवार, बुधवार और शुक्रवार को छोड़कर अन्य दिनों में एक्स-रे कराने के लिए आने वाले मरीजों को निजी डायग्नोस्टिक केंद्रों का रुख करना पड़ता है, जहाँ उन्हें अधिक पैसे खर्च करने पड़ते हैं।
सीएचसी में एक्स-रे टेक्नीशियन के पद पर एक ही कर्मचारी कार्यरत है। बताया जा रहा है कि यह टेक्नीशियन सप्ताह में केवल तीन दिन ही ड्यूटी पर आता है, जिसके कारण एक्स-रे सेवा सीमित हो गई है। मरीजों और उनके परिजनों का कहना है कि वे दूर-दराज के ग्रामीण इलाकों से इलाज के लिए सीएचसी आते हैं, लेकिन जब उन्हें पता चलता है कि एक्स-रे नहीं हो पाएगा, तो वे निराश होकर लौट जाते हैं या फिर निजी केंद्रों की ओर रुख करते हैं। निजी केंद्रों में एक्स-रे के लिए दोगुनी से भी अधिक राशि वसूली जाती है, जो गरीब मरीजों के लिए एक अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ है।
स्थानीय लोगों और जनप्रतिनिधियों ने कई बार स्वास्थ्य विभाग और जिला प्रशासन से इस समस्या का समाधान करने की मांग की है। उनकी मांग है कि सीएचसी में कम से कम दो एक्स-रे टेक्नीशियन की नियुक्ति की जाए, ताकि यह सुविधा सप्ताह के सभी कार्य दिवसों में उपलब्ध हो सके। इससे न केवल मरीजों को राहत मिलेगी, बल्कि स्वास्थ्य केंद्र पर भी लोगों का भरोसा बढ़ेगा। स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों को इस गंभीर मुद्दे पर तत्काल ध्यान देने और आवश्यक कदम उठाने की आवश्यकता है ताकि कुचायकोट और आसपास के क्षेत्रों के लोगों को समय पर और सस्ती एक्स-रे सुविधा मिल सके।
Patients in Kuchaikote, Gopalganj district, are facing significant hardship due to the limited availability of X-ray services at the local Community Health Center (CHC). The facility currently offers X-ray services only three days a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This forces patients requiring X-rays on other days to seek private diagnostic centers, where they incur higher costs.
The primary reason for this limited service is the presence of only one X-ray technician at the CHC. This technician reportedly works only three days a week, leading to the restricted schedule. Patients, many of whom travel from remote rural areas, express frustration when they are turned away and have to rely on private clinics. These private centers often charge double or more for X-rays, imposing an additional financial burden on economically disadvantaged patients.
Local residents and public representatives have repeatedly urged the health department and district administration to address this issue. They demand the appointment of at least two X-ray technicians to ensure the service is available on all working days. This would not only provide relief to patients but also enhance public trust in the health center. Health officials are called upon to take immediate action to ensure timely and affordable X-ray facilities for the people of Kuchaikote and surrounding areas.
