The department also provided crucial advice for preventing filariasis, including using mosquito nets while sleeping, preventing water stagnation in surroundings, and maintaining good hygiene. People were also encouraged to consume anti-filarial drugs, which are provided free of charge by the government. This program represents a vital step towards achieving a filaria-free India, and regular organization of such camps will help reduce the disease burden in both rural and urban areas.
