A laborer died on the spot in Samastipur district after coming into contact with an 11,000-volt electricity wire. The incident occurred in Ward No. 4 of Satmalpur, within the Warisnagar police station area, while the victim was working on an under-construction house. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Ram Pratap, a resident of Raini, Ward No. 15, under the Khanpur police station.

According to information, Ram Pratap Singh was working at the under-construction house of Phool Hasan in Satmalpur on Tuesday. It is reported that an 11,000-volt electricity wire was dangling at the site, which led to the laborer's electrocution. The news of the death quickly spread, drawing a large crowd of local residents.

Upon receiving the information, the victim's family arrived at the scene and, along with the body, blocked the Khanpur-Samastipur main road. They demanded compensation for the death. The road blockade lasted for approximately two hours, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Warisnagar Station House Officer (SHO) Sarvesh Kumar Jha dispatched Sub-Inspector Azad Khan to the spot. The police initiated an investigation. Later, SHO Sarvesh Kumar Jha also reached the scene. After conducting an inquiry, he took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Samastipur for post-mortem examination. The police are continuing with further proceedings.
