A grand Kalash Yatra (holy pot procession) was held in Lakhisarai on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the Prana Pratishtha Mahotsav (consecration ceremony) for the Shiva-Parvati and Radha-Krishna temples. The spiritual event saw 501 young girls participate, carrying sacred pots on their heads with immense devotion. This procession quickly became a significant highlight in the city's spiritual and cultural calendar.

The procession commenced from the Shri Durga Mandir premises in Naya Bazar. From there, the girls, singing devotional songs and chanting hymns, paraded through the main streets of the city. A large number of devotees accompanied them, further enlivening the atmosphere of devotion. Along the route, participants were welcomed with refreshments and flower showers by local residents, adding to the charm of the event.

The Kalash Yatra culminated at the main event site, where all the sacred pots were formally installed according to rituals. Following this, a series of Havana (fire rituals) and prayers began within the temple complex, scheduled to continue for several days. The primary objective of this festival is the consecration of the idols of deities in the newly constructed Shiva-Parvati and Radha-Krishna temples, making them sacred for devotees.

Organizers emphasized that this festival not only symbolizes religious faith but also conveys a message of unity and harmony within society. Such events bring people together, fostering a sense of collective devotion. The residents of Lakhisarai actively participated in this grand Kalash Yatra and Prana Pratishtha Mahotsav, contributing to its success and memorability.
