A mason tragically died due to electrocution in Lakhisarai district, sparking grief and raising serious questions about the safety of dilapidated electrical wires. The incident occurred when the victim, identified as 45-year-old Brahmadev Pandit, a resident of Ratanpur village under Gidhaur police station in Jamui district, was returning home after work.

Brahmadev Pandit, who worked as a mason in Lakhisarai, was on his way back to his village late in the evening when he came into contact with old, exposed electrical wires. The electric shock was so severe that he died on the spot. Local residents, upon discovering him unconscious, immediately informed the police.

Police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and sent it to Lakhisarai Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The family of the deceased has been informed, leading to an outpouring of grief. The incident has ignited strong public anger against the electricity department. Locals allege that the electrical wires in the area are severely dilapidated and exposed, and despite repeated complaints, the department has failed to take adequate action, resulting in this tragic loss of life.
