Lakhisarai police achieved a significant breakthrough during a routine vehicle checking drive, arresting two liquor smugglers and recovering 62 liters of illicit country-made liquor. This operation marks a crucial step in enforcing the prohibition law effectively in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team initiated a thorough vehicle inspection campaign on a major road within the district. During the checking, two suspicious individuals riding a motorcycle were intercepted. Upon searching them, authorities discovered a total of 62 liters of country-made liquor. The seized liquor has been confiscated.

The identities of the arrested smugglers have not yet been disclosed, as police are currently interrogating them to dismantle the entire network involved in this illegal liquor trade. Police believe these smugglers were supplying liquor to various parts of the district.

Since the implementation of the prohibition law in Bihar, police and the excise department have been conducting continuous operations against liquor smugglers.
