Two individuals tragically lost their lives due to a lightning strike in Kharauna village, located within the Masaurhi police station area of Patna district. The incident occurred on Saturday, casting a pall of grief over the entire village. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Ramjanam Kumar and 40-year-old Mohan Kumar, both residents of Kharauna village.

According to available information, the weather suddenly changed on Saturday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms. Ramjanam Kumar and Mohan Kumar were working in a field when they were struck by lightning. They sustained severe burns and died on the spot. Upon receiving news of the incident, local villagers and family members rushed to the scene, but it was too late.

Masaurhi police were immediately informed. A police team arrived at the site, took custody of both bodies, and prepared an inquest report. The bodies have since been sent to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Masaurhi, for post-mortem examination. Police stated that further action would be taken after the post-mortem report is received. The tragic event has brought deep sorrow to Kharauna village, and the families of the victims are in immense distress. Local administration has assured the affected families of all possible assistance.
