Police in the Madhepur police station area continue their crackdown on liquor smugglers. In a recent operation, police arrested a liquor smuggler near Bochahi Bridge and seized 18 liters of illicit country-made liquor from his possession. The action was taken based on confidential information received by the Madhepur Station House Officer (SHO).

Upon receiving intelligence that an individual was present near Bochahi Bridge with illegal country liquor, intending to sell it, the SHO promptly formed a team. The team swiftly cordoned off the area around Bochahi Bridge. A suspicious individual was spotted and attempted to flee upon seeing the police, but the vigilant team apprehended him. A search revealed 18 liters of country-made liquor.

The arrested smuggler has been identified, though his name has not yet been released by the police. He is currently being interrogated to uncover other individuals involved in this illegal trade and to trace the supply chain of the liquor. Police officials stated that such operations would be conducted continuously to effectively enforce the prohibition law. A case has been registered against the arrested smuggler under relevant sections, and further legal action is underway. This arrest is expected to help curb the illegal liquor trade in the region.
