मधुबनी जिले के मधेपुर थाना क्षेत्र में महादेव पूजा मेले के दौरान मोबाइल छीनने के आरोप में पुलिस ने दो युवकों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने छीना गया मोबाइल भी बरामद कर लिया है। घटना पचही चामुंडा स्थान पर लगे महादेव पूजा मेले की है। गिरफ्तार आरोपियों को रविवार शाम न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया।
लखनौर थाना क्षेत्र के खैरी गांव निवासी बिशुन सदाय 1 नवंबर, रविवार की सुबह लगभग ढाई बजे मेला देखने गए थे। इसी दौरान एक युवक ने अपने साथी की मदद से उनके हाथ से मोबाइल छीन लिया और भीड़ का फायदा उठाकर फरार हो गया। बिशुन सदाय ने मेले में ही आरोपी को पहचान लिया और तुरंत वहां मौजूद पुलिसकर्मियों को इसकी सूचना दी। पुलिस ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए मौके से एक आरोपी को पकड़ लिया। उसकी पहचान मधेपुर थाना क्षेत्र के भखराईन गांव निवासी 19 वर्षीय राजा मुखिया के रूप में हुई।
बिशुन सदाय के बयान पर मधेपुर थाने में प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई। मधेपुर थानाध्यक्ष इंस्पेक्टर विश्वजीत कुमार और मामले की जांच कर रहीं एसआई राखी कुमारी ने बताया कि राजा मुखिया की निशानदेही पर दूसरे आरोपी, पचही गांव निवासी 22 वर्षीय लाल बाबू मुखिया को भी गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पुलिस ने दोनों आरोपियों से गहन पूछताछ के बाद छीना गया मोबाइल बरामद कर लिया। रविवार शाम को दोनों आरोपियों को न्यायिक हिरासत में जेल भेज दिया गया।

Bishun Saday, a resident of Khairi village in Lakhanour police station area, was attending the fair around 2:30 AM on Sunday, November 1st. During this time, a young man, with the help of an accomplice, snatched his mobile phone and disappeared into the crowd. Saday identified the accused at the fair itself and immediately informed the police personnel present. Police swiftly apprehended one of the suspects on the spot, identified as 19-year-old Raja Mukhia, a resident of Bhakhrain village within the Madhepur police station limits.
An FIR was registered at Madhepur police station based on Bishun Saday's statement. Madhepur Station House Officer Inspector Vishwajeet Kumar and investigating Sub-Inspector Rakhi Kumari stated that based on Raja Mukhia's confession, the second accused, 22-year-old Lal Babu Mukhia, a resident of Pachahi village, was also arrested. After extensive interrogation, police recovered the stolen mobile phone from both accused. Both individuals were sent to judicial custody on Sunday evening.
