A video purportedly showing Madhepura Civil Surgeon Dr. Vijay Kumar accepting cash in exchange for a private nursing home license has gone viral on social media. The video allegedly shows two young men conversing with the Civil Surgeon in his office and handing him envelopes containing money. During the conversation, the payment of money for a permanent license for a private nursing home is also mentioned.

Taking serious note of the matter, the District Magistrate of Madhepura has promptly constituted a three-member inquiry committee. The District Land Acquisition Officer chairs this committee, with the officer-in-charge of the District Confidential Branch and the District Minority Welfare Officer as members. The committee has been instructed to thoroughly investigate the facts and allegations presented in the viral video and submit its report as soon as possible.

In the viral video, two young men are seen approaching the Civil Surgeon with an envelope of cash. During the conversation, one of the youths mentions a demand for 5 lakh rupees for a permanent license. The Civil Surgeon initially appears to try and return the envelope but accepts it upon the youths' insistence. Later, one youth brings more money in a yellow envelope, and a sum of 15,000 rupees is also mentioned in the conversation.

However, Civil Surgeon Dr. Vijay Kumar has vehemently denied the viral video, calling it completely misleading, baseless, and unfounded. He claims it is a fabricated video created as part of a conspiracy to tarnish his image. The administration has initiated an investigation, and the committee will verify the identities of the individuals in the video, their conversation, the money transaction, and the allegations related to the license. The full truth of the matter will only become clear after the investigation.
