Questions are being raised regarding the allocation of additional charges for employees in Madhubani district, despite the implementation of a randomization system aimed at ensuring transparency in postings. It is alleged that after randomization, three accountants were again given additional charges of the same blocks where they had previously served for extended periods. Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Suman Prasad Sah has assured an investigation into the matter.

According to information, while the primary postings of these three accountants were changed, they were re-allocated their old blocks for additional charges. This has sparked discussions among employees about the transparency of the process. Vijay Shankar Prasad, whose primary posting is in Pandaul block, has been assigned additional charge of Andhratharhi, where he had previously worked for over three years. Similarly, Anil Kumar Sharma, primarily posted in Bisfi block, has been given additional charge of Ladaniya, a block he had managed for about four years previously. Chandrashekhar Azad, primarily posted in Khajauli block, has been assigned additional charge of Harlakhi, a responsibility he had also held before.

Employees argue that the objective of randomization is to bring transparency to the posting process by relocating personnel who have been stationed in the same place for a long time. Reassigning them to blocks where they previously held additional charges defeats the purpose of this system. Furthermore, concerns are being raised about practical difficulties in operations due to several employees being given additional charges in distant blocks.

The list for additional charge allocation was prepared by the District Program Officer MGNREGA, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Director of Accounts Administration and Self-Employment, District Rural Development Agency. This list was approved by the District Magistrate on July 16 via letter number 2405. DDC Suman Prasad Sah stated that the transfer-posting process was conducted at the District Magistrate level and assured that if any employee has been reassigned to a location where they previously held additional charge, the matter would be investigated.
