A road accident in Khajauli, Madhubani district, led to the death of a young man, sparking widespread anger among his family and villagers. On Saturday, following the post-mortem, the deceased's body was brought to Khajauli, where relatives and locals blocked the main road in front of the police station, staging a protest that lasted for about an hour, completely disrupting traffic.

The incident occurred on Friday evening near the old railway crossing in Khajauli market, where the young man died in a bike accident on a U-shaped road. Upon the arrival of the body on Saturday, anger erupted among the family and villagers. More than four dozen people placed the body near the Ambedkar statue and protested against the police administration. The protesters alleged that the truck involved in the accident fled the scene, and the police failed to seize it. This led to slogans being raised against the police.

Station House Officer Sapan Kumar attempted to calm the crowd. Later, SDPO Sadar-2 Kamini Kaushal arrived at the scene and engaged in discussions with the protesters. She assured them that legal action was being taken against the driver and owner of the फरार vehicle. Following her intervention, the protest concluded, and the road blockade was lifted. The deceased's mother, Veena Devi, has filed an application at the local police station regarding the accident, which has been forwarded to the Traffic Police Station, Madhubani, for necessary action. Police stated that legal procedures are being followed, and efforts are underway to identify the absconding vehicle for further action.
