Madhubani district administration has launched a major and organized crackdown against liquor smuggling and sale. In this special operation, drone cameras were used to monitor illegal liquor hideouts, followed by intensive raids at 98 different locations. During this action, a total of 140 liters of illicit liquor were seized, delivering a significant blow to the illegal trade operating despite complete prohibition in the state.

The joint team of police and excise department carried out this campaign. During the raids, 10 individuals were also arrested on the spot. Some of them were found involved in the illegal manufacturing, sale, and smuggling of liquor, while others were caught consuming alcohol. Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under relevant sections, and further legal action is being pursued.

This operation specifically targeted inaccessible and remote areas where traditional methods of access are difficult. With the help of drones, hidden liquor dens and the activities of smugglers in such regions could be monitored. The administration has made it clear that the use of such modern techniques will continue in the future to effectively implement liquor prohibition.

The district administration has also appealed to the general public to report any information related to illegal liquor activities to the police or excise department. The identity of informants will be kept confidential. This campaign has created a stir among liquor smugglers and illegal traders in the district, sending a clear message that the administration is serious about prohibition and committed to making it successful at all costs.
