Madhubani's Mayor recently organized a public darbar to address various issues faced by the city's residents. During this public hearing, several significant matters related to drainage, malfunctioning streetlights, and ongoing or proposed drain construction were brought to attention. The Mayor took these concerns seriously and assured prompt resolution.

Residents attending the darbar highlighted that waterlogging becomes a major problem in many parts of the city during the monsoon, severely hindering movement. Complaints about non-functional or absent streetlights in several wards also emerged, raising safety concerns after dusk. Additionally, demands were made for the construction of new drains or the completion of unfinished drain construction projects in certain areas.

The Mayor instructed officials from the relevant departments to take immediate action on these complaints and resolve the issues within a defined timeframe. She emphasized that the development of the city and providing better facilities to citizens are her top priorities. Discussions included considering new schemes to tackle waterlogging and focusing on cleaning and repairing existing drains. Directives were also given to take necessary steps for streetlight repair and installation of new lights.
