A tragic incident has been reported from Madhubani district, where a motor mechanic died due to electrocution while irrigating his field. The incident occurred in the Pandaul police station area of the district. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Ramvilas Mahto, a resident of Pandaul Bazar.

According to information, Ramvilas Mahto had gone to irrigate his field on Sunday morning. He was using an electric motor pump for irrigation. It is reported that due to a technical fault in the motor pump or a leakage in the electrical wire, a sudden current flowed, electrocuting Ramvilas. The electric shock was so severe that he did not get a chance to recover and died on the spot.

Upon receiving news of the incident, local residents and family members rushed to the scene. Ramvilas was immediately taken to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A pall of gloom has descended upon Pandaul Bazar following this incident. Ramvilas Mahto was known for his friendly nature and skilled craftsmanship. He is survived by his wife and children, who are in deep shock.

The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. Pandaul police station is investigating the matter. This incident has once again highlighted the need for special precautions when using electrical equipment during the rainy season. Experts advise regular inspection of electrical wires and equipment during rainy days and avoiding electrical work near open wires or in damp areas.
