Madhubani Nagar Police have arrested Amresh Kumar, an accused who was absconding in a motorcycle theft case. Amresh Kumar is the son of Teter Sahni, a resident of Kasma Madar in Khajauli police station area. Police arrested him on Monday based on a confidential tip-off.

Madhubani Nagar Police Station Head, Manoj Kumar, provided this information on Tuesday morning at 9 AM. He stated that Amresh Kumar was absconding in a motorcycle theft case, which was registered at Madhubani Nagar Police Station on October 26, 2026. The accused had been evading arrest since the FIR was lodged, and the police were actively searching for him.

The Station Head informed that the police received a tip-off that the accused was present in his area. Acting swiftly on this information, the Nagar Police conducted a raid and apprehended Amresh Kumar. According to the police, the accused was arrested in connection with the motorcycle theft case, for which he had been sought since the FIR was filed. This operation, based on confidential information, proved successful for the police.

Further legal action is being taken against the arrested accused as per rules. The police are also investigating other aspects related to the case.
