A significant meeting of the NGO Forum recently concluded in Madhubani, emphasizing the active role and participation of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in disaster management and various public welfare schemes. The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance the effectiveness of NGO operations in the district and encourage them to work with better coordination in various fields of social service.

All members present at the meeting agreed that the role of NGOs is crucial in disaster management, be it floods, droughts, or any other natural calamity. It was decided that in the future, NGOs should work in conjunction with local administration to deal with such situations, ensuring more efficient relief and rescue operations. Regular training and mock drills were also considered for this purpose.

Furthermore, emphasis was placed on increasing NGO participation in various government-run public welfare schemes, such as education, health, sanitation, women's empowerment, and rural development.
