Three women were tragically killed in a road accident in Madhubani district, Bihar, when a speeding SUV ran over them while they were out for a morning walk. The incident occurred on State Highway-52 near Jagdamba Petrol Pump in Sarisab village, under the Benipatti police station area, around 5:40 AM on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Rita Devi, Kiran Devi, and Phuldai Devi, all residents of Nautoli village, which falls under the Arar police station area of Madhubani. Benipatti DSP Ankur Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the women were resting by the roadside after their walk when the uncontrolled SUV struck them.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene immediately after the accident. Benipatti SHO Anoop Kumar informed that the police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the vehicle and its driver. The number of occupants in the SUV is also being ascertained. This tragic event has raised concerns among morning walkers in the region.
