Arrah: A man has been arrested in Arrah, Bhojpur district, Bihar, on charges of fraud and illicit relations with a young woman under the pretext of marriage. The accused, identified as Rajveer Singh alias Sagar, a resident of Vishnu Nagar Nala Road, ZED Chowk under Nawada police station in Bhojpur district, was apprehended by the Women's Police Station at Arrah Junction as he was traveling from Delhi to Arrah. The victim is a resident of Shahpur, Aurangabad city.

The young woman alleges that the accused promised to marry her and engaged in physical relations, but later married someone else. Following this deception, the victim filed a complaint at the Women's Police Station on May 7, 2026. She stated that the betrayal by someone she trusted had caused her significant mental distress.

Taking the matter seriously, Women's Police Station SHO Anjali Kumari initiated an investigation. Based on confidential information that the accused was en route from Delhi to Arrah, prompt action was taken, leading to his arrest at Arrah Junction. Police stated that the accused had been absconding for a considerable period. This incident once again highlights the importance of caution before trusting anyone blindly. The police are continuing further action in the case.
