A tragic incident occurred on Friday morning in Jihuli village, under the Patahi police station area in Motihari district. Sanjeev Kumar alias Pappu Singh, 50, died after falling into a well located in front of his house while he had gone out to pluck flowers. The incident has plunged his family into deep mourning, and a somber atmosphere prevails in the village.

According to reports, Sanjeev Kumar left his home around 5 AM on Friday morning to pluck flowers. It is believed that his foot slipped near the well situated in front of his house, causing him to fall into the deep water. Due to the significant amount of water, he drowned. When local residents learned about the incident, villagers immediately rushed to the scene. After considerable effort, the villagers managed to retrieve Sanjeev Kumar's body from the well.

The Patahi police station and local मुखिया (village head) Vikas Kumar were informed about the incident. Upon receiving the information, a police team and the मुखिया arrived at the spot. The police took custody of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital in Motihari for post-mortem examination. Police have gathered information regarding the incident from the deceased's family and villagers.

The news of Sanjeev Kumar's death has left his wife, Anju Devi, and their only son, Samar Raj (14), distraught and inconsolable. The cries of the grieving family have cast a pall of sorrow over the entire village. Nearby villagers offered condolences and comfort to the bereaved family. Patahi Station House Officer Abhishek Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the body would be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
