A 50-year-old man drowned after slipping into a well while plucking flowers early Friday morning in Jihuli village, under the Patahi police station area. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar Singh alias Pappu Singh, a resident of Baba Patti in the same village. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Badshah Chauhan arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital Motihari for post-mortem examination.

According to Vikas Kumar alias Nikku Singh, the village head, Sanjeev Kumar Singh was plucking flowers near a well in front of his house around 5 AM when he suddenly slipped and fell into the deep water. He drowned after getting stuck in the well's mud and water. Witnessing him fall, people raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to rush to the spot. Villagers made considerable efforts to retrieve Sanjeev Kumar Singh's body from the well. Subsequently, his family took him to a local doctor, who declared him dead after examination.
