सहरसा जिले में अपराधियों का तांडव थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। ताजा घटना नवहट्टा थाना क्षेत्र के लक्ष्मीनिया गांव की है, जहां घर से महज 400 मीटर की दूरी पर बाइक सवार तीन अज्ञात बदमाशों ने एक युवक को गोली मार दी। घटना रविवार देर रात की बताई जा रही है। पीड़ित की पहचान 27 वर्षीय पप्पू मंडल के रूप में हुई है, जो लक्ष्मीनिया गांव निवासी कारे मंडल का पुत्र है।
जानकारी के अनुसार, पप्पू मंडल अपने घर लौट रहा था, तभी रास्ते में घात लगाए बैठे बाइक सवार तीन अपराधियों ने उसे घेर लिया। इससे पहले कि पप्पू कुछ समझ पाता, बदमाशों ने उस पर ताबड़तोड़ फायरिंग शुरू कर दी। पप्पू की कमर और कंधे में गोली लगी है, जिससे वह गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। गोली लगने के बाद अपराधी मौके से फरार हो गए।
गोली चलने की आवाज सुनकर आसपास के लोग मौके पर पहुंचे और लहूलुहान हालत में पप्पू को उठाकर तुरंत सहरसा सदर अस्पताल पहुंचाया। सदर अस्पताल में प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद, उसकी गंभीर स्थिति को देखते हुए डॉक्टरों ने उसे बेहतर इलाज के लिए हायर सेंटर रेफर कर दिया है। बताया जा रहा है कि पप्पू की हालत अभी भी नाजुक बनी हुई है।
इस घटना की सूचना मिलते ही नवहट्टा थाना पुलिस हरकत में आई। पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर मामले की छानबीन शुरू कर दी है। हालांकि, अभी तक घटना के पीछे के कारणों का खुलासा नहीं हो पाया है और न ही अपराधियों की पहचान हो सकी है। पुलिस आसपास के लोगों से पूछताछ कर रही है और अपराधियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए छापेमारी कर रही है। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर सहरसा में कानून व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।

Pappu Mandal, son of Kare Mandal, was returning home when the attackers ambushed him. Before he could react, the assailants opened fire, striking him in the waist and shoulder. After the shooting, the criminals fled the scene.
Alerted by the gunshots, locals rushed to the spot and immediately transported a profusely bleeding Pappu to Saharsa Sadar Hospital. Due to his critical condition, doctors there referred him to a higher medical center for advanced treatment. His condition remains precarious.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Navhatta police swiftly arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. The motive behind the attack is yet unknown, and the perpetrators remain unidentified. Police are questioning locals and conducting raids to apprehend the culprits. This incident has once again raised serious concerns about law and order in Saharsa.
