Saturday marked the final opportunity for students across Bihar, including those at Marhaura High School in Marhaura block, Saran district, to complete their One Time Registration (OTR) for the scholarship scheme. A significant rush of students was observed at common service centers, cyber cafes, and photocopy shops across the town as they hurried to register before the deadline.

The 14-digit unique digital identity, or OTR number, is mandatory for online scholarship applications. This OTR is generated using the student's Aadhaar card and bank account. After successful registration, it is also essential to submit the generated slip to the respective school.

This scholarship scheme is exclusively for eligible students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) studying in class nine and above. General category students are not eligible. Once an OTR number is issued, students can use the same number to avail scholarship benefits in subsequent academic years.

Arvind Upadhyay, a teacher at Marhaura High School, confirmed that Saturday was the last day for OTR registration. He urged eligible students with Aadhaar cards and bank accounts to register promptly to ensure they do not miss out on this session's scholarship.
