A large-scale extortion racket is reportedly operating at the Marwan Anchal office, where fraudulent objections are being raised on mutation and land purification applications to extract money from applicants. Shockingly, over 22 applications have received fake objections filed under the name of a single unknown individual.

Local residents allege that as soon as an online application for land mutation or purification is submitted, an objection is filed against it by an anonymous person. When the Anchal office summons both parties for a hearing, the person who filed the objection never appears. Attempts to contact the mobile number provided in the objection letter reveal it to be switched off or unreachable.

Following two recent incidents, victims have complained to the Circle Officer (CO) through their public representatives. Despite this, the CO is reportedly proceeding with these cases without proper verification. Victims claim that the office is plagued by middlemen, and files are either delayed for months or returned without reason if money is not paid.

Ram Naresh Sahni, BJP Mandal President and Vice President of the Twenty Point Programme, has lodged a complaint with the departmental minister and urged the CO to take immediate action. However, Marwan Circle Officer Pushkal Kumar has denied any such incidents, stating that if any such matter comes to his attention, a thorough investigation will be conducted, and strict action will be taken.
