An incomplete 20-meter stretch of road in Ward No. 11 of Mau Dhaneshpur Dakshin Panchayat, under Vidyapatinagar block in Samastipur district, has become a major headache for local residents. This crucial road, connecting Chingia Dam to Mau Bazaar, remains unfinished, leading to severe waterlogging of up to two feet during the rainy season.

The incomplete road has resulted in widespread mud and foul odors, causing significant distress to the community. The stagnant water has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, raising concerns about the spread of diseases like dengue and malaria. Adding to the woes, a Public Distribution System (PDS) shop operates in the same lane. Villagers, including the elderly, women, and children, face immense difficulties reaching the shop to collect their rations, with many instances of people slipping and falling.

Residents, including Lakhvindra Rai and Suresh Kumar, stated that they have repeatedly informed concerned officials and public representatives about the issue, but no concrete action has been taken. The community is now urging the administration to expedite the road construction, implement proper drainage systems, and find a permanent solution to the waterlogging problem to alleviate their suffering.
