The Rosera Municipal Council in Samastipur district conducted an anti-encroachment drive on Monday to clear illegal structures and obstructions from roads. The primary objective of the campaign was to facilitate smoother traffic flow and pedestrian movement within the city.

During the drive, illegally parked motorcycles, other vehicles, and goods placed by shopkeepers on roadsides and in front of their establishments were removed. Rosera Police Station Head Lalbabu Kumar led the operation, supported by municipal council staff and a significant police presence. The action was carried out at various key locations across the city where shopkeepers had encroached upon public roads, and vehicles were often parked haphazardly, causing congestion.

The municipal employees, backed by the police, strictly enforced the removal of encroachments. Shopkeepers and vehicle owners were sternly warned against future encroachments. This initiative by the administration aims to resolve the long-standing issue of encroachment in the city and improve overall traffic management. Local residents are hopeful that the drive will alleviate traffic congestion and make commuting easier in Rosera.
